20 years. Two agencies. A lot of hard lessons.
I started building websites when WordPress was a blogging tool and SEO meant stuffing keywords into meta tags. Watched the web change completely, multiple times, and built businesses through every shift.
Today I run two agencies with my wife Jeane out of Jacksonville, FL. WebsiteHQ.com handles WordPress hosting and maintenance for hundreds of clients. Sumner Digital does full-service marketing for B2B and SaaS companies at $10K+ retainers.
I have been in the trenches long enough to know what works and what is just noise. And right now, AI is the biggest signal I have seen in 20 years.
